Maybe the most emotionally visceral campaigns I've ever done. It is unimaginable what the dawn of the nuclear age did to so many of our soldiers and sailors. Our government was all too willing to use these men like guinea pigs but seemed determined not to help them years later when they were struggling with all kinds of medical horrors.

For years, the Veterans Administration refused to accept that military personnel who were exposed to nuclear fallout as a result of the atomic testing we did in the 1950's were afflicted with all types of cancer. John Doyle and I did this campaign that was specifically targeted to Congress in an attempt to raise awareness and to enable the victims and their families to receive full benefits.
